Amputation of right index finger and middle finger

Amputation of right index finger and middle finger

Although the claimant picked up his fingers and took them to hospital, they could not be "salvaged".

He was unable to return to his pre accident work, and was forced to retrain to a new occupation; he had to alter his driving technique and was restricted in DIY and cooking tasks.

A significant compensation award was achieved by Garratts, reflecting his scarring and impairment of grip for what was undoubtedly a painful and traumatic injury.
