The man was found lying in the road by paramedics on Milnrow Road, Shaw, Oldham following a collision with a motor vehicle. The driver, who fled the scene without offering any assistance, was later apprehended and jailed.

The injured victim, who at first did not make a claim believing that he could not do so as the driver had fled the scene, approached Garratts many months after the accident asking for help.

Garratts advised him a claim could be lodged with the Motor Insurers' Bureau and sourced appropriate treatment and rehabilitation to aid his recovery.
