Personal Injury - New fraud detection service

Personal Injury - New fraud detection service

As of 1 June, claimant representatives processing claims covered by the Ministry of Justice's RTA Protocol will be required to use the service before submitting a Claim Notification Form for a personal injury claim through the Claims Portal.

askCUE will allow solicitors to check their clients' records held on its database to see if they relate to any personal injury or industrial illness incidents that have already been reported to insurance companies.

The service, which has been designed as part of recent updates to the Civil Procedure Rules, has been worked on for the last four years by the Association of British Insurers (ABI), the Motor Insurers' Bureau (MIB), the Motor Accident Solicitors Society (MASS), the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), and the Law Society.
