The claimant suffered a painful injury to his right ankle and was hospitalised for 10 days.  He had 12 weeks off school and a number of months mobilisation on crutches.

 

His suffered psychological injury in the form of an acute street reaction with mood and sleep disturbance. There was travel anxiety, separation anxiety and social withdrawal.

 

Following   intervention by Garratts, the child secured an award of £6,300.
