The Claimant sustained multiple and life-threatening injuries, with pelvic fractures, fractures to the fourth to tenth ribs, fractures of the right radius and right humerus and right fifth metatarsal.

The major injury was in the form of degloving to the right leg leaving pronounced cosmetic deformity. The injury was rightly described as “horrific”. Multiple skin grafts were required.
