For many couples who are separating they are often faced with the difficult decision about whether to start a divorce based on the fault of their partner by alleging ‘unreasonable behaviour’ or ‘adultery’ or waiting until they have been separated two or even five years . Sometimes that can make a big difference about how relationships continue in the future. Over the next few months the law relating to divorce will change as legislation passes through parliament moving to a no fault system. These changes will also apply to Civil Partnership.
