CELEBRATING 14 YEARS WITH THE FIRM TODAY!

Congratulations to Fran Greenhalgh who celebrates 14 years at Garratts today!

CELEBRATING 14 YEARS WITH THE FIRM TODAY!

Fran started as an assistant solicitor in the family department on the 11th of September 2006. In recognition of her hard work and commitment to the firm Fran was invited to be an associate solicitor.

Fran’s background was in Public Law proceedings and Fran was given the opportunity to develop the care department which at that time did not exist within the firm.

Fran has worked tirelessly over the years to build the department up to become a great success. The Department employs 6 solicitors 5 of whom are children panel members and 4 legal assistants.  It is the largest Care department in Oldham and Tameside and also works with families from across the Greater Manchester area from our offices in Oldham, Ashton, Stalybridge, Newton Heath, Radcliffe and Worsley.

Fran became a partner in the firm in 2011. Fran is extremely proud of her department as it involves working with families to safeguard children and wherever possible keeping families together. Fran is a robust advocate who assists families throughout the whole pre-proceedings and court process, which gives her an enormous amount of job satisfaction.

The pinnacle of her career was when Fran was Oldham Law Association’s President in 2018 which was a very proud moment both for her and for the firm

Fran’s meteoric rise to the top of her career is an excellent example of how Garratts are committed to developing people and encouraging them to reach their full potential.

Fran recently became a grandmother and loves spending time when she can in the current climate with her family she also loves travelling which is difficult at the moment!
