National Apprenticeship Week 2021

National Apprenticeship Week 2021

At Garratts we believe in helping our staff reach their true potential and are extremely proud of our apprentices.

‘I am now in my second year of the Solicitor Apprenticeship. Garratts remain extremely supportive enabling me to progress through the course effectively. I also receive support from the University of Law by way of personal and subject tutors. The apprenticeship is extremely helpful in my Litigation Executive role and will enable me to reach my goal of becoming a qualified solicitor.’

Louise Graham

'I am now coming towards the end of my apprenticeship and I am delighted with progress I have made over the past couple of years. It has been such a beneficial experience not only because it has provided me with additional training but because it is structured in a way that allows me to learn while I work. I have therefore had the opportunity to obtain further knowledge and skills which I have been able to put into practice on a daily basis. I am looking forward to completing my apprenticeship and I am hoping to continue my learning and obtain further qualifications in the future.'

Michael Garratt

One of our recent apprentices, Shelly McGovern, has finished a conveyancing qualification and has developed further to become an Associate of the firm. It really does go to show that there is more than one route into this industry and we welcome that with open arms.

For employers thinking about offering apprenticeships to their staff and for people of all ages and abilities considering becoming an apprentice, Garratts urge them to look outside traditional qualification routes

We are delighted to be able to support and encourage people and are proud to be able to develop the talent that we have within the firm.
