The Government have made the announcement the threshold for nil stamp duty is now £250,000 from £125,000 for people purchasing main residences the higher rate will still apply for second/multiple homes no change there.

The first time buyer threshold has been increased to £425,000 before paying tax and they can now purchase a property up to £625,000 anything over they pay full stamp duty.
