Ms H attended the Royal Oldham Hospital for the birth of her child. It was noted, after the birth, that the placenta had ruptured and there was a section missing. The Midwife, however, failed to take appropriate steps to ensure the remainder of the placenta had been removed. Our Client was then discharged. She began to feel extremely unwell and was ultimately rushed into hospital for the remainder of the placenta to be removed. The experience was extremely distressing for our Client and could have easily been avoided if appropriate steps had been taken initially.
