Mr H brought a claim on behalf of the Estate of his Mother, Mrs H, against the Defendant as a result of their failure to provide nursing care to the standard required.
Mrs H was admitted to the Defendant Hospital following a fall and underwent surgery to her hip. Whilst in recovery, Mrs H was negligently placed on a continence pad that had been laid on a chair which resulted in a fall. Mrs H required revision surgery from which she never recovered.
Garratts Solicitors were able to obtain supportive expert evidence, form both a Nursing expert and Consultant Physician. Both professionals identified negligence committed by the Defendant and attributed the same to the unfortunate loss of Mrs H’s life.
