Garratts Supports World Mental Health Day 2025

Garratts Supports World Mental Health Day 2025

This year’s theme, set by the World Federation for Mental Health and promoted in the UK by the Mental Health Foundation, focuses on “Access to Services – Mental Health in Catastrophes & Emergencies.” It’s a reminder that when life becomes uncertain — whether through global crises, personal hardship, or sudden change — access to the right support can make all the difference.

Mental health touches everyone, and challenges can arise at any time. Even if we’re not directly affected by a crisis, constant exposure to distressing news or high workloads can take a toll. At Garratts, we believe looking after your mental health should never be an afterthought. We’re proud to stand with the Mental Health Foundation and millions worldwide in supporting open conversations about wellbeing and access to help when it’s needed most.

We’re continuing to encourage open discussions around stress, anxiety and wellbeing at work, share information on local and national support services, and promote flexible working and confidential support for staff who may be struggling. Our aim is to make mental health support part of everyday life — not just something we talk about once a year.

You can get involved by taking five minutes today to check in with a colleague, friend or loved one. Visit mentalhealth.org.uk for tips and stories, or share a positive message on social media to help break the stigma.

It’s okay not to be okay — and it’s okay to ask for help. Let’s all use today as a reminder to care for our own wellbeing and support those around us. Together, we can make mental health a priority every day.
