Mrs K sustained an injury to her foot after a fall in March 2022.
Unfortunately, initial imaging carried out by the Defendant NHS Trust was misinterpreted, resulting in her discharge without appropriate treatment.
Despite ongoing pain and difficulty bearing weight, it wasn’t until late April 2022 that Mrs K was referred to the Orthopaedic Team. A formal diagnosis was then made, confirming the severity of the fracture and recommending conservative management.
Garratts Solicitors submitted a detailed Letter of Claim, prompting the Defendant Trust to admit liability and causation.
However, they disputed that the delay had impacted the long-term outcome.
