Serious Injuries from Unwitnessed Falls
Whilst Mr G was a resident at the Defendant Care Home, he suffered two unwitnessed falls, the second of which caused a fractured right tibia and clavicle.
Defendant Denies Liability
The Defendant denied liability, asserting that appropriate assessments and care plans were in place and regularly reviewed. They further argued that Mr G retained the capacity to make decisions about his care, and that the falls were unforeseen and not preventable without one-to-one supervision.
