A 44 year old local woman, Ms S began suffering from excruciating back pain in late 2011/early 2012. In addition, she began to display other significant ‘Red Flag’ symptoms typical of Cauda Equina Syndrome (CES), a rare but very serious condition which results from extreme pressure and swelling of the nerves at the end of the spinal cord.
