Deborah is a Solicitor and Partner who practises mental health law.
She is a member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal Panel. Deborah works closely with clients detained under the Mental Health Act to ensure that their rights are upheld and to represent their interests at hearings and appeals. She regularly advises and represents clients at hospitals throughout the North West at all levels of security in civil and forensic cases.
Deborah was a criminal defence and duty solicitor for many years, representing clients charged with all manner of offences, from road traffic offences to murder. Her background in criminal law assists her in representing patients subject to Hospital Orders.
She has represented clients with a wide range of specialist needs, including personality disorders and eating disorders. Deborah has a particular interest in working with adolescents who are detained under the Mental Health Act.
